Emerging from the network of experimental and drone-oriented scenes in Minneapolis, Minnesota, IE (pronounced “eee”) is a group devoted to experiences of hypnotic minimalism. From stark experiments in meditative drone music, to groove-based psychedelia, over nine years of recording and touring, IE has worked to build their own language of atmosphere, repetition, and hypnosis.
